Once again the boating season is upon us.

The year started with the London Boat Show, then we had our first talk with an RAF pilot Flt. Lt. Antony Parkinson, a very interesting talk and it was a really good night.

Our second talk in February was by the skipper of the RNLI Lifeboat as Spurn, David (Spanish). This was an absolutely brilliant night, you really have to admire the crew of the lifeboats for the job that they do.

The club raised £2,000 last year and we had a good collection on the night of the talk, one of our main objectives is to raise money for the lifeboats every year.

I hope everyone gets better cruising this year and better weather as we all know last years weather was terrible!

It has been a long cold winter so fingers crossed we will have a better summer.

Our first club cruise will be to Hull starting on Friday 10th April, there will be a talk at the end of March with a slide show about the cruise.

I would like to thank everyone, Members and Committee who supported the Rally last year in what was the worst weather we could possibly have!
